It only displays the length of the move in time, not size. I can't stop the camera before exceeding 4GB since I have no way of knowing when that point is. That means if I take a movie that exceeds 4GB Windows will not recognize it and not play the movie. I just checked and it's formatted to Fat32. I formatted the card in the Canon Camera. It doesn't come with a SD card so I bought a Sandisk 16GB class 10 card. The camera has the ability to take 1080P HD movies. I just bought a Canon small point & shoot camera as a Xmas present for my nephew. My intention was not to hijack your thread but felt it was related to Fat32 limitations. I'm certainly glad you brought up this point since it got me thinking and I wasn't happy with my thoughts. Just curious, what type of mapset are you using that exceeds 4GB? Couldn't find anything special about them or did the map look any different. The first thing it told me that i need to load it onto the unit from the sd card or it might not work right. I loaded one of them alone just to see what it looked like. Lot of work but I actually still get what i want. The end result is that I had to painstakingly highlight each grid one at a time and chose carefully what i want, instead of just highlighting the whole map. If you combine them, you must check them all on in myMaps or it will give you nothing. It will over write and you will end up with the last one you tried to add. You cannot put one mapset on the sd card at a time. If I want all these different mapsets on the unit, it will have to be through the unit itself not the micro sd. Since Garmin will only sell you 4gb cards, guess the writing is on the wall. Map install, mapsource, and Base Camp won't let me go past 4gb.
